1. Introduction to Pech Merle France 20,000 BC

Pech Merl 23,000 B.C.

Pech Merle is, perhaps, the only one of the great French caves that are open to the public. You can go down into the cave and see the paintings for yourself. This cave is of interest in part because the animals are painted with a different style than the other caves we see. At about 10,000 BC a rock slide happened which closed the cave and preserved the paintings. The cave was discovered by two teenagers in 1922.

I would like everybody to do something after they have completed a unit. To help this happen I have added  a site gives you the tools to paint and draw. I hope you take the time to use this and if you do so you are more likely to remember what you just learned.
